1. Background of the Project: Domestic market: According to the statistics offered by “the Almanac of China Automobile Industry (2005)”, the national output of autos in 2004 is 5.071 million, including 1.5148 million being cargo vehicles, 1.243 million passenger buses, and 2.3132 million saloon cars. The detailed information is: there are 28 enterprises manufacturing bent axles, with 10 ones producing 100,000 bent axles annually; there are 24 companies manufacturing linking-poles and among which there are 8 ones with an annual output of 400,000 pieces; there are 21 companies producing pot-tooth gears, among which there are 9 ones with an annual output of 100,000 pieces; and there are 14 companies manufacturing auto steering knuckles, with 9 ones whose information can be retrieved. Overseas Market: Among the production cost of a motorcar, the cost of auto parts is between 60-70%. For the reason of the difficulty in the technique of manufacturing steering knuckles is considerably great and the molding transfiguration is so complex that it is not easy to be processed by manipulators, in foreign countries the enterprise has to pay high to workers and is not willing to manufacture auto-parts. Therefore, it has become an international trend to reduce the rate of self-made auto-parts and to purchase them worldwide so as to improve production efficiency and realize specialized mass production. It's introduced in " the Almanac of Chinese Automobile Industry (2005)" that the annual auto output in the US, Japan, German, France, Korea, Spain and Canada is around 40.93 million, whereas the rate of self-made parts of each country is within 50%, with an enormous amount of parts to be purchased worldwide in 2004.
2. Investment Estimation and Financing Scheme: Planned investment of this project is USD 15.7 million, with an intention to seek 10 million for investment and 5.7 million USD for self-collected.
3. Economic and Social Benefits: The project term is 10 years, among which 3 years for construction and 7 years for management, with newly increased sales revenue attaining to USD 37.8 million.

Current Status : Hubei Sanhuan Foundry Factory is a branch of the Hubei Sanhuan Corporation Ltd., located in Chengguan town, GuCheng County, northwest Hubei Province, a golden region of Hubei auto industry corridor. The factory has established years of cooperation relationships with Daye in Hubei, Changgang Group in Sichuan, Xingcheng Steel Works in Jiangshu and Donggang in Hubei and other companies, so the source of raw material supply is sufficient, reliable and smooth. The public facilities for work and life are perfect. The company is a specialized enterprise adopting model-forging techniques to produce automobile parts. The leading product of the company is steering knuckle and the company has become the first big-size base manufacturing steering knuckles for medium and heavy trucks. Since "The Seventh Five-Year-Plan" period, the company has invested successively USD 15 million for technological innovation so as to upgrade and reform the traditional industry, hence finishing the two strategic shifts -from making repairs and supplying replacements for agricultural machinery to producing auto-parts, from producing cast products to producing forged products, and as a result, realizing the historical transformation and great stride of production and management.
