1. Background of the Project: Xiangfan Jiangshan Auto Gearbox Factory is a large-sized manufacturing enterprise designated by Dongfeng Auto Corporation to produce its accessory auto gearboxes. It enjoys various kinds of devices and equipment of over 380 sets, of which 30 % are highly sophisticated, highly precise and most advanced ones. Through many years of efforts, it has developed various kinds of heavy-duty truck gearboxes, including JS5-350, JS6-650, JS5-750, JS6-850, and JS6-950. It was confirmed as a high-tech enterprise in 1995 and passed ISO 9002 quality system accreditation in 1997. This factory is strong in scientific research and always pays its attention to nurture of talented personals.
2. Economic Benefit Analysis: The gearbox products, which are developed by the enterprise on the basis of the imported complete set of Nissan Diesel production technique and of the world advanced science and technology feature their new design, compact structure, small size, light weight, high driving torque and efficiency, low noise, smooth and stable gears-shifting as well as high agility and liability. These gearboxes are regularly demanded by Dongfeng Auto Corporation and by other major auto manufacturers throughout the country, which results in the fact that supply of the gearbox falls short of demand, and in a consequent bright market prospect Profit will be realized when the annual sales volume surpasses 15,000 sets. The investment recovery period will be 2.5 years.
3. Contents of the Project: The project develops by means of revamping the existing gearbox production line, at extending the current annual production capacity of 15,000 sets to an expected capacity of 50,000 sets with an annual sales income of USD 43.75 million .
4. Estimated Total Investment: USD 10 million.
5. Progress of the Project: USD 312,500 has been invested in the technical innovation of assembly line, and circular assembly line and paint spraying line have entered preparatory stage.
