Dominique Strauss-Kahn, managing director of the International Monetary Fund (IMF), said Friday that although there was some impact from U.S. sub-prime mortgage crisis on China, IMF still expected the Chinese economy to expand by 10 percent this year.
Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao met with Dominique Strauss-Kahn Thursday afternoon in Beijing, and the two sides exchanged views on the Chinese economy and other issues of common concern.
This was the first time Strauss-Kahn visited China as managing director of the IMF.
