MOFCOM Deploys the Farming Material Supply for Spring Plowing

MOFCOM and All China Federation of Supply and Marketing Cooperatives jointly issued the Notice on Earnestly Carrying out the Work of Farming Materials and Goods Supply for Spring Plowing on February 20, requiring all local commercial administrations and supply and marketing cooperatives, the ones in the blizzard-stricken areas in particular, to go all out in carrying out the work of supplying the farming materials and goods needed for spring plowing and post-blizzard restoration of farm production, and make contributions to facilitating agricultural production, income increase of farmers and rural development.

The Notice points out that as this is the season for making preparations for spring plowing, all local commercial administrations and supply and marketing cooperatives are required to design, arrange and deploy their work in advance, actively organize source of goods and strive to guarantee the stable supply of farm material market.

The Notice puts forward that all the aforesaid departments should cooperate closely with other relevant departments on strictly cracking down the activities of manufacturing and selling fake and inferior farming products so as to purify the circulation channel of farming materials; thoroughly promote the construction of the “Rural Retailing Development Project” and “New Countryside Modern Circulation Network Project”, broaden the coverage of chain business network, increase the distribution rate of farming materials, strengthen the supervision and management of the self-procurement goods source of the franchised chain stores, and prevent the fake and inferior farming materials from flowing into the rural areas.

The Notice requires the farming material circulation enterprises to renew their service philosophy, improve their service level for farmers, do a good job in providing the due pre-after sale and sale services for the farming commodities, and meet the multi-faceted needs of farmers.
