It was recently learnt from the government of Changping District of Beijing that, the district planned to invest 3.3~4 billion yuan in leveling up over 170 sand pits and restoring the ecological system there in 5~8 years. Now the geological survey has been totally carried out.
The number of sand pits in Changping District is on the top in Beijing. There is 6219 hectares sandy land in the district which has seriously affected the regional ecological environment.
